Glenn Fraldarius

Preface
At the young, promising age of 18, Glenn Fraldarius was declared to have died in service to the royal family along with the King, his wife, and all other knights that had been escorting the royal family. The only survivor was Prince Dimitri, 13, at the time. This day is remembered as the Tragedy of Duscur.

Academy Phase
While attending Garreg Mach Academy, Glenn was the House Leader of the Blue Lions. He was rather serious about it, too. It earned him both admiration and scorn from his peers.
Since he became a knight at the age of 15, he received special permission for leaves of absence to go on missions or escort members of the royal family of Faerghus. This is thanks to the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus’ close bond with the Church of Seiros.
After being sent on these knight-related missions, he tries to find time, before returning to the academy, to stop in at Fraldarius Manor to visit Felix and check on his progress in training. He also misses his little brother quite terribly, not that he’s willing to let that show—mostly for the sake of his own pride.
He attended Garreg Mach Academy during the same time as Holst Goneril.
Those Who Slither In The Dark Phase
The underground organization that was truly responsible for the Tragedy utilized a great many mages to help them hide the abduction of most of the knights present while the king was slaughtered and his wife disappeared into the flames. Young, promising knights, some of which bore Crests, would serve as wonderful test subjects for their great many experiments.
Glenn’s Minor Crest of Fraldarius was a wonderful building block for the mages and researchers to build upon, adding pieces of other crests and pushing him to his very limits and beyond. All the other test subjects gradually died off until only Glenn was left, of those taken from Duscur.
Even newer test subjects, mere children, died off faster than he did. Between the magical and medical hazes and pain, he felt pathetic for being unable to save any of them. No one else had been able to survive to the point in the experimentation process that he had managed to. They had all been subjected to such horrible things and yet only he survived again and again. He was their most successful test subject. Despite all this power, he felt powerless.
There were many times where Glenn wished that he could just die, too. But he kept pushing himself to survive, desperate to escape one day and be reunited with his family.
From the Tragedy of Duscur to the end of the War, Glenn is held and experimented on by Those Who Slither In The Dark in their underground city of Shambhala. Desperate to remember that he had a home and a goal and a reason to live, he took to carving ‘Felix’ in the walls of his cell again and again and again.
He is used toward the end of the war as a power source for one of their machines, which is used to create Demonic Beasts.
Lost and Found
At some point during the time skip, Glenn manages to escape from the research facility where he’d been kept since Duscur. He finds Dimitri while trying to find a way home as he attempts to navigate the war and avoid being captured again by TWS.
Seeing Dimitri’s state, Glenn decides that going home can wait. Dimitri needs him more. So he chooses to stay by his side. When the Blue Lions meet up at the promised reunion, Glenn is there, as well. Though, he sticks to the shadows.
Divide to Conquer
While putting an end to Edelgard’s reign ended the war, Those Who Slither In The Dark, who are truly responsible for all these events, are still alive and plotting and pulling strings. Losing their figure head was detrimental, but they have other plans; one of which involves the utilization of their technology and their most successful experimental subject.
Not All Who Wander
Felix has been traveling since the war ended. Glenn, on the other hand, has been in rehabilitation for a while after being found in the woods somewhere between Ordelia and Goneril Territory. His memory is spotty, at best, but the one thing he does remember above all else is that he has a promise to keep to a young man named ‘Felix.’
On his journey to keep his promise, Glenn, going by the name ‘Stian,’ which was given to him by the doctor that had been taken care of him, encounters a man named Felix at an inn. The two hit it off well and are headed in the same direction, so they continue their journey together.
Forsaken
Felix is kidnapped by Those Who Slither In The Dark and experimented on shortly before he’s set to meet up with everyone at Garreg Mach for their Five Year Anniversary promise. They end up giving him a second Major Crest, the Major Crest of Blaiddyd. Glenn, unable to sit idly by and allow his younger brother to continue to suffer, breaks them both out of the underground facility.

As a result of the experimentation, Glenn has lost a good bit of his sensory reception—pain, mostly, but also hunger.
He does get phantom aches in his left arm and using it for fighting is uncomfortable. He detests the arm because it looks more like that of a monster than a man’s.
Activating his Crest—which is now an amalgamation of Crests due to having Saints’ blood injected into him—however, is extremely painful. It registers as a white heat spreading through his body.

Personality
Prior to Duscur, his personality to those outside his close circle is rather serious and confident. It’s easy to mistake the way he carries himself as arrogance. In truth, he’s just very aware of his strengths and abilities.
While he did grow up as a prodigy and had many things come to his quite easily, he also put in the work to hone and master those skills.
Glenn disagrees with the Faerghus Mentality. He doesn’t think people should be so willing to toss their lives away. Glenn fights because he wants to protect.
He loves Felix and Prince Dimitri very dearly and they’re his primary motivation in becoming a knight. He wants to protect them. But he’s not willing to toss his life away.
Felix and Dimitri are the two who most saw Glenn’s softer side. Glenn would play with them fairly often and absolutely adored the two.
Encounters and closeness with Sylvain differs from Sylvain to Sylvain, as far as the TL goes.
Glenn very much admired and respected his father. Facing him again after everything is incredibly difficult.
Glenn also admired Seteth during his time at the Academy. He tended to being a smartass and a troublemaker, but he kind of liked to bug Seteth because he wanted the man to pay attention to him.
Glenn was always a little more reserved around Ingrid. He found their arranged marriage strange. They were both just children, when it happened. But with a title like 'fiancé' weighing so heavily upon him, he always felt like he had to impress her or appear 'cool' around her.
He’s known for being blunt and snarky, generally. He has little tolerance to idiocy. When people spout nonsense, he’s quick to call them out on it.
His mouth landed him in a great many fights, growing up. But he was a stubborn and determined young man. He would rise to any challenge thrown at him.
Unfortunately, he is also a man who seldom knew failure, prior to Duscur. Being faced with such a huge failure was nearly crushing. He was stubborn enough to pull through, however.
